Great sound and fantastic playing! Wonder how the cymbal sounds when riding it in swing style oder when playing straight eights like you do in a Bossa Nova oder a pop ballad etc.

amazing sound but the tom being mounted into the bass drum is a deal breaker - why did Ludwig compromise both the look and sound of a perfectly nice bass drum by cutting a giant hole into it and mounting things? Are they trying to be like Gretsch? Can't one of these two do this right?

That would be better with 10" tom, just my preference & maybe a cymbal mount on the kick, for more compact options.

Despite the trend to bigger and more complex cymbals, for this type of song, I think a smaller less washy ride is the more classic sound. I like the 20" medium or the 19" crash ride, which I didn't expect.
